Miss H-P is teaching in Room 2 this year with the Year 5/6 students. In Room 2 there are 27 wonderful students.
At present Room 2 are learning about Successful Careers and how the students can aim to 'Shine Bright' in their own lives.
Room 2 have finished our mural and it is now displayed outside Room 2. It looks great! the background is the four house colours (red, blue, yellow and green). We chose a monkey as our class mascot, he is holding the number 2. We added a rainbow in the corner as we are 'shining bright' this year. We also included the six thinking hats as we do a lot of thinking in Room 2. We welcome you to come and have a look at our fantastic new mural.
In Room 2 we have lots of responsibilities like Jump Jam which we run twice a week on Tuesday and Friday mornings. We have some great dancers who take Jump Jam and lead the rest of the school.
This year Mrs Sue Jackson will also be helping out in Room 2 every second Wednesday as part of the teacher release programme.
As Miss H-P loves Music Room 2 are often heard before they are seen as they sing inside Room 2. We also like to learn about new musical concepts to put into practice in our singing.
Throughout the course of the year we have many exciting field trips planned including a visit to Science Alive in Term 2.
Room 2 now have the first interactive whiteboard in the school. Very exciting, we have been learning to use this. the students love using this tool and we are making good use of this within the classroom each day.
Report evening is here again, they will be held next week on Tuesday and Wednesday night 29th and 30th June, please ensure you have returned your form to get an interview time.
