Room 7

Konnichi wa and welcome to Room 7!

Room 7 is the senior class at Rakaia with 23 year 7 and 8 students and Miss Winter.
We are lucky enough to be in the brand new classroom built especially for senior students. We have an interactive whiteboard, fantastic couches and a big workbench for science experiments, art and even cooking!  In Room 7 we learn the Japanese language and will be leaning about Japanese culture.

Our class is bright and colourful as we love doing art and creating masterpieces. We also enjoy taking part in all sorts of sports and are looking forward to re-claiming our title of Mid Canterbury Soccer Champions in 2011!

Room 7 has a busy first term, beginning with Swimming sports on the 15th of February as well as Manual training starting the third week back. 

Miss Winter (Anita) has been at Rakaia since 2009, as both a Year 4 teacher and from last year, the Year 7/8 teacher. She commutes from Christchurch everyday but says it is well worth the drive to teach at the "Best little school in Mid Canterbury"!
